Menopause doesn't just change your body. It can quietly change how you feel about yourself.
Beverley Anderson, MCGI, MIoL · Executive Coach & Advisor · Certified Executive Menopause Coach · Founder, Back to Herself™
Your judgement. Your confidence. Your sense of who you are.
The self-doubt.
The tiredness that sleep doesn't fix.
The sense that you're carrying something you don't quite have words for.
I understand that, because I have lived it, and because I have spent years learning how to do something about it.
Most people who do this work have one of two things: the lived experience, or the professional expertise. I have spent a long time building both, and it is the combination that shapes how I work with the women and organisations I support.
Where Would You Like to Start?
My understanding did not begin in a classroom. It began with my own life.
A near-death experience during pregnancy. A chronic health condition that went undiagnosed for over a decade. And then my own journey through menopause and into postmenopause, a season that quietly changed how I felt, thought, worked and lived.
Like so many women, I spent years trying to make sense of what was happening, searching for answers, and wondering whether I was losing myself. Over time, I came to see that this season was not simply something to endure. It was an invitation to understand myself more deeply: my needs, my boundaries, and what truly mattered.
That understanding did not diminish me. It returned me to myself.
Research involving 179 women.
They shared how menopause had affected their confidence, clarity, work, relationships, identity and everyday lives.
What became clear is that menopause is rarely just about symptoms. For many women, especially those carrying leadership responsibility, it affects energy, confidence, decision-making, and the way they experience their own ability.
Yet it can also become a catalyst for reflection, growth and becoming. A doorway, not a decline.
My work sits at the intersection of executive coaching and menopause, a place very few people occupy.
With individuals
I help executive women understand what menopause is changing beyond the symptoms, reconnect with themselves, and step into what comes next with greater clarity and confidence.
That work happens through the Back to Herself™ Programme, a structured six weeks combining practical tools with private coaching.
With organisations
Culture is set at the top, and some of the people setting it are navigating menopause in silence. You cannot build a menopause-supportive culture while the women shaping that culture have no support themselves.
I advise leadership teams on closing that gap, so the support they build actually reaches the senior women it's meant to protect.
Underpinning it all is the B.A.L.A.N.C.E.™ Framework, a whole-person approach I developed for women navigating complexity, leadership and transition. See how that works in practice for individuals and for organisations.
